Magnificent Henri Michaux's piece dated 1952 with a prestigious exhibition history and an impeccable provenance.
Napoleon III period frame in black wood with original gold leaf molding.

This acrylic on paper with bright colors is old in the production of the artist. Consisting of imaginary characters and animals, it resembles a tribal scene and has similarities with some of the artist's poems.
Alternating subtle colors with dry, more diluted materials, the work is true to the artist's desire to find a way to "de-glue oneself" in painting.
