Stesi 156
Bio
Stesi156 starts to work in graffiti in 1997 and turns to the practice of "flop" which consists of thick round letters. He decides to simplify as much as possible these letters with which he writes his name, which then becomes like a logo for him.
Passionate about calligraphy, he experiments with a new form of expression in his works as a self-taught artist.
In the early 2000s, he began to work on canvas for a more "framed" practice of graffiti. He was inspired by the pioneers of New York graffiti, but especially by 20th century artists such as Jackson Pollock or Hans Ruedi Giger. Stesi develops an expression on abstract canvas free of interpretation for the spectator but also very organic with a technique mixing the aerosol and the oil pastel.
