Very nice oil on canvas by Achille Laugé (1861-1944) signed on the lower left and dated 1928.
Work titled "Chemin bordé de genêts" - Framed RG.
Despite his academic education, he was influenced by French neo-impressionist painters such as Georges Seurat, Paul Signac and Camille Pissarro. Achille Laugé practiced a divisionist technique: he applied dots of color to create shapes. He finds his inspiration in the nature that surrounds him.
His works are now held by several important museums, including the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée du Louvre in Paris.
