Description

"I created this version of the Third Open Eye by incorporating the portrait I originally made for my Make Art Not War print during the Iraq war. I created it for my friends and family as a message of peace for the holiday season, but I distribute a very small number to my collectors to thank them for their support. This printed image also includes a third eye that blooms like a flower. I believe that what the third eye represents: a dialogue with one's inner self, a higher consciousness and a quest for enlightenment, is essential to achieve peace and harmony. I have often used the expression "open eyes-open mind" and I think that "third open eye" is a similar idea, but a little heavier, because it is about looking not only outwards to observe, but also inwards."
