Message from the Artwork : "Buddy hardly supporting dogmas"
This original Artwork was one of hundreds of Sketches that Keith Haring (1958-1990), this great artisan of New York pop art of the 80s, drew by refining gradually to improve the animation of his legendary characters, just as their immanent messages, so that this same original Drawing becomes the Matrix of large print, then affixed as his own signature on many popular retail clothes.
1) Until 1986, at Keith Haring ;
2) In 1986, to a close friend * of Keith Haring, as well as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol and Haring’s employee since 1980 at his East Village Workshop ;
3) Since 2001, to the latter's Father *, the current Owner of the Artwork.
(*) The detailed Provenance identifying the Owners, the Ownership of the Artwork, the Haring’s Sale Contract, the Certification, the inherent Photos and the relevant Documentation are given to the Purchaser upon the Sale of the Artwork.
