Renowned for his powerful works celebrating those who push human limits, Michael Kagan delves into the physical and emotional challenges faced by explorers. CERNAN (White) marks his first sculptural edition, modeled after astronaut Gene Cernan, the eleventh person to walk on the Moon during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. This piece translates Kagan’s fascination with bravery and vulnerability into three-dimensional form, capturing the spirit of conquest and endurance in a singular, striking silhouette.
