This vibrant diptych pays tribute to the ultimate pop icon, Marilyn Monroe, boldly revisiting Andy Warhol’s legendary silkscreen portrait.
A precursor and pioneer of the French urban art movement, Speedy Graphito established a distinctive aesthetic in the 1980s — the Graphito Style — blending irony, popular culture, and visual poetry. His work, both joyful and critical, playfully questions our relationship with images, brands, and modern myths.
As prolific as he is inventive, he explores painting, sculpture, photography, and installation, developing over the decades a universal, colorful, and timeless visual language.
In 2021, he transformed the Musée en Herbe in Paris into a total work of art — a complete immersion in his imaginative world, showcasing his boundless creativity.
A true distillation of his style, this diptych pays homage to Warhol while asserting the creative freedom of Speedy Graphito, one of the leading figures in contemporary art today.
