Super A is the anti-superhero identity of Stefan Thelen. Super A is a Netherlandish artist who uses traditional painting technique and design sense to create compositions that manipulate familiar iconography into confusing and challenging pieces.

His alter ego, Super A, is the filter through which Stefan Thelen's life and observations are distilled and transformed into artistic inspiration.

All of his works are the result of personal experiences or thoughts that are transformed into concepts that oscillate between fiction and non-fiction.

Super A is a mystery that uses art to make Stefan Thelen talk, taking the viewer on a yellow brick road to Wonderland in which Thelen's figurative and surrealist modern compositions provide puzzles to decipher with the eyes.
