Description

This work shows us a magnificent nautical ballet, more precisely, an encounter between jellyfish in their natural environment. In this painting, we can see plastic bags voluntarily hidden and that strongly resemble jellyfish. Bags that are also found in nature today, a real plague that threatens terrestrial life.

Pierre Prèneron has painted a picture with a critical and very actual subject, "As what any beautiful, wonderful, touching thing, can hide a drama, a tragedy, it is like that... even with human beings". Pierre Prèneron

Pierre Prèneron used acrylic paint to produce this painting that is as poetic as it is committed. It is signed and dated in the lower right corner by the artist. This painting is framed in a black frame. Dimensions without frame : 103 x 73 cm - Dimensions with frame : 126 x 96 cm.

Bio

Pierre Prèneron was born in 1953. He lives and works in Toulouse, France. His works do not leave indifferent, Pierre Prèneron works "all over": a distribution of accents, a balance of the whole surface. A squaring of the space in order to quantify it. Traces of ideal lines. A pictorial path elaborated progressively.

Pierre Prèneron realizes almost essentially acrylics on canvas, even if he also uses oil and ink. One is literally absorbed by the force of his colors. Pianist at his hours, and opera lover, there is also in this man, a form of lightness, an open and rebellious character at the same time.
