Bio

Philippe Pasqua is an artist born in Grasse in 1965. He is strongly inspired by artists such as Francis Bacon or Lucian Freud. He quickly established himself as one of the most important painters of his generation.

Voodoo and fetishes marked the beginning of his career. Now, Philippe Pasqua is mainly interested in portraits, nudes and vanities. The artist goes beyond the physical representation, he seeks emotion through different subjects all as hard as each other.

Philippe Pasqua wants to be an "anatomist of the human soul". Thus, with the themes chosen for his works, the play of colors and serifs, his paintings exude a very intense emotional power.

His first exhibition took place in 1990 at the Espace Confluence in Paris. Since 1990, Philippe Pasqua has had numerous solo exhibitions and has participated in events all over the world. Since 2010, the artist has been exhibiting his works on a permanent basis in the gallery "The Storage" located in Saint-Ouen l'Aumône, France.
