New and old collide in Christian Rex van Minnen's absurd rewritings of still life traditions.
Parallaxe - van Minnen's first printed publication for over 10 years and the first timed edition - is based on an original oil on linen, in which he uses Venetian painting techniques that predate him by hundreds of years. The title of the work refers to the compositional logic behind his assemblage of foliage, jelly beans and embryos.
Dimensions: 75 x 51.3 cm
Medium : Archival pigment print on 350gsm Hahnemühle Museum Etching matte paper.
