Art Shortlist is paid only if your artwork is sold. By entrusting us with the sale, you and the buyer are subject to the same commission rate of 15% (excluding VAT) of the sale price.

Steps to sell
1Request of artwork registration
- Can you identify it and provide us supporting documents?
Simply complete the dedicated document : « artwork registration form » and attach pictures of the artwork.
All the information you have must be specified in this form.
- You don't know who produced it?
Our team of experts is here to enlighten you.
All you have to do is fill out the « estimate request form ».
This request is totally free, it will allow you to send us pictures and all the information in your possession. We will then be able to deliver an appraisal/expertise as soon as possible.
- Can you identify it and provide us supporting documents?
2Sale of your artwork
- Once the artwork is analyzed and appraised, we will provide you with an estimate and agree on a sale price.
- To highlight your artwork, we will write a detailed report including information about the artist and the artwork. In addition, depending on the case, we may capture high-definition visuals to highlight your artwork.
- Your artwork will be listed on artshortlist.com and buyers will be able to place offers.
3Negotiation with buyers
- As soon as a buyer makes a proposal, Art Shortlist will notify you without revealing your identity or that of the potential buyer.
- You will communicate with the potential buyer through us until an agreement on the price and conditions of the sale.
4Payment & delivery
- Once the agreement is reached, the sale is concluded. Art Shortlist may send you an electronic confirmation. This step is optional but recommended.
- Right after, Art Shortlist will handle the payment process with the buyer. The buyer will make a payment that will be held in a secure bank account until the artwork is successfully received. This system allows Art Shortlist to collect its 15% commission once the sale is completed.
- The delivery of the artwork will be arranged in person or through a carrier, according to the buyer’s preference.
