Brusk
Bio
Brusk (DMV) was born in 1976 in Saint-Priest, not far from Lyon, France. He is a French artist who discovered the world of street art in the 1990s. He began his artistic career with graffiti at Lyon Part-Dieu station. Brusk went on to pursue his artistic path, graduating from the École des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Étienne. His talent then led him to join the DMV (Da Mental Vaporz), a renowned collective in Europe.
Beyond the walls, Brusk explores a variety of media to express his art, from video to computer, photography to canvas. His artistic style evolves over time, and his technical mastery enables him to create a variety of works, whether figurative, abstract, realistic or graphic. Versatile, the artist also works in 3D, manipulates textiles, designs furniture and even tackles packaging. His artistic signature is marked by an exceptional mastery of dripping, a technique that gives his creations a characteristic "dripping" appearance.
Brusk, eager for inspiration, refuses to claim a particular message in his art, considering that "taking the street for an open-air gallery is already a claim" in itself. His artistic work has received widespread recognition on the art market. His work entitled "Kiss of Death", initially estimated at between €7,000 and €9,000, was finally sold for €16,000 at an auction in 2015.
