John Paul Fauves
Bio
John Paul Fauves was born in 1980 in Costa Rica. He is a contemporary artist who began producing at a very young age under the tutelage of Joaquin Rodriguez del Paso.
After spending 15 years developing his style and finding his voice, he finally begins to show his work. Worldwide recognition occurred for the artist in less than a year. His works are exhibited all over the world.
In his works, he questions identity in relation to art history and the interactions of current social networks with popular culture.
He is very much influenced artistically by modern painters as well as pop artists.
As his name suggests, his main inspiration is the Fauvist movement.
He does this by using iconic figures and mixing fragments to compose vivid and colorful expressions.
