Ulrich Wulff was born in 1975 in Kempten, Germany. He lives and works in Berlin. From 1997 to 2005, he studied japanology, art history and cultural sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Self-taught, he has been working as a painter since 2002, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Europe and the United States since 2005. The artist has also had several solo exhibitions in Innsbruck and Berlin.
Moving from figuration to abstraction, a grotesque figure with protruding eyes and a big nose that appears frequently in the artist's paintings and drawings.
Wulff has exhibited his work at "Truth and Consequences" in Geneva, at the Salon Dahlmann in Berlin and at the Kunstverein Heppenheim in Germany. Group exhibitions include "Wo ist hier?#1: Malerei und Gegenwart", "Kunstverein Reutlingen" in Germany and "Fürchtet Euch nicht!" at the Neue Galerie Gladbeck in 2014, "European Fine Art" at the Kunsthalle Kempten in 2011 and "No Capri for Old Men" in Los Angeles in 2009.
